Sarrià-Sant Gervasi is the main entry point for Barcelona at the Collserola Park, the most important green lung of the city. This proximity mark his condition and affluent residential area, with many parks and green areas, combined with prestigious schools and health. The district is the sum of former municipalities added to Barcelona as the de Sarrià (1921), Vallvidrera-Plans (annexed to Sarrià in 1890) and Sant Gervasi of Cassoles (1897).

Sarrià, another powerhouse in the district, maintains the unity of the old city, although it separates the core of the Three Towers by their homogenous urban characteristics and the high degree of recognition which is part of their inhabitants. The other two districts are Putget-Farró and Vallvidrera-Tibidabo-Plans. In both cases have joined small towns to reach a minimum number of inhabitants, as most are trained by their status-by-mountain areas of single-family homes.
