Barcelona Sants is the main railway station in Barcelona and Catalonia, is the first station in Spain international route, and the second on domestic voyages, until the completion and commissioning of the station-Barcelona Sagrera.

In this station for most trains connect with Catalonia and the whole of Spain, both by the network of roads in classical Iberian wide as the new LAV Madrid-Zaragoza-Barcelona-French border in width. In 2005, passed through the facilities of the station more than 80,000,000 passengers.

The station is located in the district of Sants-Montjuic, with entry by the Plaza of the Catalan Countries (south) or the Plaza Joan Peiró (north). On the station there built a hotel chain Barcelo, and next to the Plaza Joan Peiró docks bus.
