The former term SantGervasi of Cassoles was located on the slopes of Tibidabo, between the mountains and the plane. Its rugged geography by wadi, streams and hills explained that he kept a small population for many years and not possessed a powerful nucleus. The name comes from a small rural church under the advocation of SantGervasi. With regard to toponym Cazuelas, has been interpreted as a contraction of "home alone". In the tenth century was part of the term of Sarrià, until in 1714 it was declared autonomous municipality. His first council was formed in 1727. In 1897 it was annexed to Barcelona
